There are only two people here who I have set up post notifications for: @duchessgoldblatt.bsky.social and @ryankenacts.bsky.social. Basically because everything they do gives me life. I now realized they always post the same day within minutes of each other. Are they the same person?!
With a little nosh when needed

I do wonder if I'm the only person left in my field who has never used these tools....π¬
Just finished Zadie Smith's On Beauty and it was wonderful.

Itβs never a bad time to quit using Amazon, folks. Been a year and a half and any minor inconvenience has been far outweighed by the satisfaction of not contributing to this manβs grotesque wealth and influence.
I feel this in my bones. "Need more research" as a cover for inaction.
In Venezuela, "cΓ³mo cucaracha en baile de gallinas." Like a cockroach at a chicken party/dance.
Some good news!

The systems are set up so that the only way to formally invite someone for review is to register them first.
I'm thinking a lot may depend on where a person learned or speaks English π
One thing Venezuelans have learned the hard way over the last decades is that no one gives a single sh*t about us. We've learned never to hope.
We hear the same thing in Europe and we're being squeezed. Funding has become so thin with so many people competing. There's no way to take in more if it is not seriously increased.
It's going to suggest ways to add whipped cream.

"This promise of an AI future, is really just a collective anxiety that wealthy people have about how well they're gonna be able to control us in the future."
- @tressiemcphd.bsky.social with an absolute mic drop moment about AI bullshit.
Incredible words.
Listen to all of it!
I made cake for the joy. We must all sacrifice for the cause.
Surely you're entitled to a little treat after yoga.
chart of child mortality in history, roughly 48% for all societies across the globeβ¦until the 20th century, where it plummets to 4%
Currently dorking out over this graph about child mortality with my brother. Just mind boggling to take in.
Is it me or are there NO POCKETS?
Justice must be done.
Brussels is hilly and while we are in the midst of a chaotic transition, building bike lanes has led to a boom in e-bikes and cycling in general. Infrastructure matters.

They're so unattractive too.
I admit I should probably get rid of the second copies of books I bought because I forgot I had already had them.
