I went into The Shrinking Pod, but turns out, it morphed and slid into another dimension, a world like ours but not ours, where I couldn't get to know my main characters as a peer, but I was able to be a passerby and Yes! I witnessed their friendship meet cute! Thrilling! #kidlit #amwriting

I think two things simultaneously: worth defending the goodness of your initial perspective (for ppl to crit the insides, not the outsides) and I agree, he's dangerous. And that Human life is always worth defending. And I get why you deleted! More than 2 thoughts at the same time I guess! :)

And now… I am entering The Shrinking Pod, to live amongst my 2 main characters in their tiny world, to find them and see what they’re up to, asking them how they met, and hoping to befriend them if they’ll have me. I think they will. They are loveable and aren’t I also? 🤪 #kidlit #amwriting

I hear you! I feel the same way, about anyone making looks the focus of criticism, even Stephen Miller, coz it’s the insides that are the problem not the outsides!

As I was reading this thread I was thinking about the stories with all boys except for one girl, and when a story breaks that mold, i find it so refreshing… before even learning of how it serves the story… but when it does, even better!
