An Open Letter to Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston and Hants East MLA John A MacDonald - Halifax Examiner Your actions in the form of these budget cuts are mean and hateful and tell African Nova Scotians that we do not matter in the eyes of your government.

The transportation history in most Americans' heads is:

👢> 🐴 > 🚗.

[We walked everywhere, then we all got horses, then we all got cars.]

Omitting:

🚂 🚲 🚋

Railroads, bikes, trolleys, and cities with so much in walking distance that you didn't need transportation every time you left the house.

New meta-analysis of 26 published studies concludes that AVs will lead people to use cars a lot more — which would thicken congestion and worsen pollution (even if AVs are electric).

"AV deployment is anticipated to lead to an overall increase in Vehicle Miles Traveled."

Separated Bike Lanes Means Safer Streets, Study Says — Streetsblog USA Cities that build protected lanes for cyclists end up with safer roads for people on bikes and people in cars and on foot, a new study of 12 large metropolises revealed Wednesday.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

What about painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

Arts and culture in Nova Scotia left reeling from 'unprecedented' cuts - Halifax Examiner "It's going to be absolutely devastating."

"Museums, Casario noted, provide rural jobs and draw tourists, but they are also crucial to their communities.

'The province needs to understand that a lot of these museums are community hubs, and they offer programming outside just the museum experience — for seniors, youth, kids,' Casario said."

Definitely needs a paint scraper or something taken to all that gum!

If we implement a parking benefit district, that could help to improve maintenance.

Still time to fix this if the government hears from people🤞🏻
It’s a tough time for staff right now with both of these budgets ongoing.

Provincial budget fallout begins... The Province is walking away from funding for the student transit pass program. This is creating a $1.2 million dollar hole in HRM's budget and means the program where students get transit passes may not continue
