You're right, but, I don't see how they can side with advocating for ethnic cleansing. The entitlement to hold a belief isn't the same as broadcasting that belief, it crossed a line from holding a belief to actions. It feels like the interruptions of our laws have magically changed!
I'm fed up with abuse, fascism & extremism being normalized. Our justice system has always been a product of white supremacy but there's no attempt to hide that anymore. The media continues to celebrate it knowing their actions only serve to enhance the extreme views people hold.
Ugh it's such an awful feeling right?! When you know you *NEED* to sleep and your body is exhausted but the brain says absolutely not!

I couldn't face another night of frustration, tossing & turning in the bed. I decided to ditch the bedroom & head for the gym. Opened the door at midnight and about to jump in the shower by 2am.

Today an Uber driver asked what I do for work. My gut instinct to trust him with the truth was wrong. Directly after telling him about my job, I was ranted at about how D&I is evil & how Trump is going to save the world. The same man then told me my lifestyle was Haram but he can still respect me.

I've been dog sitting for my folks for a few days. It reminded me how completely isolating it is being a queer person living in really rural locations. We need more ways to build rural queer communities.

Sounds like you've worked really hard & should be proud. If I was US based I would absolutely offer to help. I really appreciate all of the hard work people like you do for free across the world, I still do so much on a voluntary basis. Rest sounds wise, look after yourself!
I don't need to imagine, after I founded the organisation I ran it as a volunteer for four years! I used to work full time and do this work.
Since I was supposed to clock off work on Friday, I've worked an additional 26 hours over the weekend with easily 4-6 more of work to do. The amount of scrutiny and information required for a charity commission registration is overwhelming. My total hours worked this week is almost 80.
Something to be really proud of, it's one of the best feelings right?! If it helps, I found that focusing on the time of movement really helped me to get stronger too, I.e making sure each movement (down, pause, up) took 3-4 seconds.
I created a starter pack for LGBTQIA+ advocacy orgs in the nonprofit sector.
