As BART Director @barnalighosh.bsky.social says clearly in this article, building housing and new revenue for BART go hand in hand.

It proposes that public support is derived from increased customer satisfaction and ridership, which are achieved with better on time performance and fewer missed trips, which are achieved with lower absences, greater parts and vehicle availability, and less vehicle service time.

I like how this forwards operational excellence as the key innovation - it is not necessary to jump to robotaxis.
Feels like not coming out in favor of stopping 20 Muni lines from being cut and a halving the frequency of the others should be a disqualifying position when Muni's favorability ratings are sky high, but what do I know.
