I'm begging the small local community groups in Ireland to please consider reframing their use of AI design work this way. The amount of drama and theatre groups in my sphere that I see using AI posters now just makes me sad.

One of the crimes of AI has been the destruction of the beautiful "my nephew made this logo for me on his computer!" energy from all the hyper-local plumbers and taco shops. AI slop on white work vans is a crime against humanity.

This is despite creatives' huge protests, and despite previous proposals being roundly rejected by the public.

More colour appreciation with this afternoon's reading - Magic 8 Ball, the new anthology from @eoinstephens.bsky.social collecting his comics from last year. This is exactly my type of thing and it might be yours if you like speculative fiction, puns, fairytale adaptations and bitter little twists.

Reading the latest Noah Van Sciver release - as always, lots to appreciate on a storytelling level, and so much variety in the strips BUT today I'm admiring the incredibly generous texture and colouring. Every line packing more energy and character into every panel. And the weather! Gorgeous.
