Texas Independence Day was this week. Texas voters should follow in that spirit and pick their own damn candidates. Both of these gop candidates are terrible and I wish it was possible for them both to lose, but my fellow Texans should get to oic which one gets to lose to Talarico in November.

I voted for Talarico but watched results last night knowing I couldn’t lose because either way I’d have an awesome candidate to support tomorrow.

If there was a guaranteed strategy for Texas it would have worked by now. But I’ve seen nothing to convince me that there are significant numbers of would-be Dem voters just waiting for the right candidate to excite them. A crossover pitch seems like the strategy more likely to succeed.
