I have a friend who is nonbinary. Their childhood was so painful. Assigned female at birth, they were athletic but seemed too boyish to be on the girls’ teams. Played well w boys but were banned there too. Banned from both bathrooms. They didn’t want me to *be,* they said.

By this logic gay girls should be excluded too (assuming objectification is the issue?). trans girls are not exactly toxically masculine. Which is more the concern than penises per se, I would think. And it seems silly that there’s no concern for cis boys having to deal w trans boys in locker rooms

And I think a lot of men would prefer privacy for changing and showering as well. Cis girls and boys are terribly bullied by other cis kids in locker rooms and bathrooms. Places of terror for all who are different or just uncool. Locker rooms have never been safe for girls-because of other girls.

Sure but this implies that transwomen are not female and somehow impair privacy. I dunno. Lived in a coed dorm on a coed floor w a coed bathroom. Can’t even understand your concern. But private shower stalls are a good thing, appreciated by all including trans ppl.
