IIRC decades ago Florsheims were made in USA, quality dress shoes. Not high end but solid. Today they are produced overseas and quality isn’t what it was. My guess is that he thinks it’s still 1985 and that’s the shoe that the underlings need to bring themselves up to just under his level.

FWIW I think St Mary’s downtown has no student parking but a lot for faculty and staff that’s a full city block. Central Catholic has a, very rough estimate, 10k sq ft parking lot that I’m not sure if students are allowed to use.

I saw the touring production recently and it felt more like a concert: 90 minutes, no intermission and not much story. Maybe that’s a good thing at that age but not a representative example of a musical IMO. Is Matilda on?
