Asked whether Americans should be worried about retaliatory attacks at home, Trump acknowledges the possibility. “I guess,” he says. “But I think they’re worried about that all the time. We think about it all the time. We plan for it. But yeah, you know, we expect some things. Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die."

"Shut up and die," the president explained to the American people.

Solve order trap*-yellow-green-blue-purple.

Purple was a solution of exhaustion--I didn't see how one of them fit, but my grouping of the other 3 was sound and was just slightly off-skew of the real connection.

Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.

I've heard of people taking the concept of divine transcendence to that degree but it's definitely not a mainstream belief in any Abrahamic religion, because it's at odds with divine immanence.

Sen. Ron Johnson opposes Congress voting on Iran war because it would 'show us divided' NPR's Steve Inskeep asks Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin for his perspective of the conflict in the Middle East and the failed Senate effort to restrain U.S. military actions against Iran.

I know it's an easy jab to make at any political opponent, but after listening to his latest word excretion, I'm convinced Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is the dumbest single person in the US government, which is saying something.

Before you share that story about how troops were told the Iran War is for "Armageddon," read this The narrative is dramatic. The sourcing is thin. And skepticism matters, especially on something this serious.

I think this is a very important story that everyone should take the time to read.

My late father taught me many things but this was one:

It's good to eat ice cream in the summer because it cools you off.
It's good to eat ice cream in the winter because it doesn't melt so fast.
It's good to eat ice cream in the spring and fall because the lines are shorter.

reading over Malliotakis v. Williams and lowkey think New York courts/the NY Redistricting Commission should be like...since the Supreme Court clearly lacked jurisdiction to intervene in the case at this time, we are treating it as the nonbinding advisory opinion that it is, thanks for the input tho

S OTOMAYOR , J., dissenting
II
Today, the Court takes the astonishing, unexplained step
of staying a state trial court’s order before the state high
court has had a chance to weigh in. To do so, the majority
had to conclude that it has jurisdiction to act, that acting
now is consistent with the bedrock federalism values under-
lying its jurisdictional limits, and that the equities favor
granting this relief despite the Court’s repeated admoni-
tions to proceed cautiously when intervening in state elec-
tions or court proceedings. The Court goes badly wrong at
every turn.

Appeals. Supp. App. 102–103. Besides, even if the Appel-
late Division denied defendants leave to appeal the denial
of stay, defendants still may seek that same relief from the
Court of Appeals directly. N. Y. C. P. L. R. §5519(c);
§5602(a)(2) (permitting a litigant to seek leave to appeal
from the Court of Appeals “upon refusal by the appellate
division” as to “an order of the appellate division which does
not finally determine [the] proceeding”).
Until defendants try to obtain relief from New York’s
highest court, this Court cannot and should not act. That
defendants have not taken that modest step should have
resulted in the denial of the stay they seek.3

To me, the NY redistricting case feels like a constitutional crisis in miniature. The Supreme Court is issuing orders it "cannot" issue, Sotomayor explains in her dissent. Yet it did so anyway.

So how should the NY courts react to an order that should never have issued?
