Strawberry & cream cheese
Italian cream & salted caramel buttercream with candied pecans
Chocolate & cookie dough buttercream, chocolate buttercream with brown butter chocolate chip cookies and ganache.

So good!

I often joke about bakers not being able to feel their fingers, but yesterday I accidentally dipped my fingers into 350° oil while showing students how to fry donuts and I couldn’t feel it.

Finished this morning at 5:15; usually I would think this was indicative of a start to a good day. Alas, it went off the rails so, so fast.

The other morning Brad said he was dreaming that a bumblebee was chasing him, then he woke up and realized it was me snoring.
Guess I should be glad it was a bumblebee and not a bear?

I am EXHAUSTED. Worked from 6:30 am-10 pm with a huge event. Fell asleep at 11. Woke up at 2 because my brain was like “hey, let’s argue about the way to spell ‘hustle’.”

So far nothing is happening here. But I’ve seen some crazy videos of hail in other areas.

Made Little Debbie cakes this morning, currently have dough proofing for baguettes, and a brisket in the smoker.

I will probably attempt to read Ratio again, as I’m teaching the Baking I class and could use a refresher. Reading is relaxing, right?

So, I’m off work for the next 10 days. I have small stuff planned throughout, but like, I feel like I should accomplish something.

I’m still giggling over it.

New teacher achievement unlocked today: I woke a student up by slamming a book on the desk.

Did I spend the last 8 weeks complaining about the number of students in my class and how I struggle with proper one on one instruction?
Yes.
Did I also just allow an overflow on a class next 8 weeks?
Also yes.

So my website picked up some malware. 😐
My options are:
-Spend $300 and let them clean it.
- say F it and let it be a big ol mess, possibly infecting others.
-delete the whole thing (I’m not opposed) BUT I use my email account, so I’d lose all of that..
-any other options?

We watched it last night. It got a little unexpected but not bad.

I think you might be right.

My current fb feed is exclusively people I have unfollowed, that’s one hell of a glitch. (And yes, I’m still there, no I shouldn’t be, yes I have a problem, no I’m not proud)
