Thanks for @bullmoosegaming.bsky.social for the great review of Dead Space! playstation3forever.com/issues/issue...
Good evening #PlayStation3 Fans. Issue 7 is out in 5 days! We look at The Launch Titles - Were they really that bad? Plus reviews on Stuntman: Ignition, inFamous and Dead Space courtesy of our friend @bullmoosegaming.bsky.social.
A copy of Thomas Pynchon’s “Shadow Ticket,” next to an open can of Coca-Cola, a napkin advertising an American Airlines credit card with a Biscoff cookie on top, and a plastic cup with ice and Coke in it. This is all on top of an airplane table.
Thomas Pynchon’s “Shadow Ticket” was a delightfully bizarre read involving cheese gangsters on the lam, Soviet motorcycle gangs, a golem, international espionage and more, set against the backdrop of The Great Depression. A stellar read!
And now comes the time of good things
Not too bad! Just living the best I can lol how about you?
Hiiii!!!!
Elijah Wood and me
James Wan, Leigh Whannell, the Sundance host, and Billy Puppet :-)
What’s up, my friends? I haven’t been on here in a while. I hope y’all have been well.
Here’s a selfie I took with Elijah Wood while at a screening of SAW with James Wan and Leigh Whannell last week. :-)

I had a really nice night at The King’s English, attending a reading and Q&A session for Mark Z. Danielewski’s latest, Tom’s Crossing. :-)

Looking for something a bit different to kick off #Noirvember tonight, so I'm going with Murete de un Ciclista (Death of a Cyclist), 1955. Bleak, stark, and steeped in Francoist paranoia. Something genuinely unique in the genre that gives it a really sinister edge. & I need to practice my Spanish.

#NoirvemberChallenge Day 1: Favorite #FilmNoir Opening Scene
D.O.A. (1949) - I love the sequence of footsteps along the hallway to LAPD’s homicide division. Followed by a great trip through 1940s San Francisco. #Noirista #FilmSky

Day two: favorite film noir character introduction
It’s hard to deny Orson Welles’ entrance as Harry Lime in THE THIRD MAN. When that light flicks on and that zither sting hits… movie magic of the simplest variety!

This seems fun!
Day one: favorite film noir opening scene
I’m going with DETOUR. It sets up everything to come so beautifully!

Second movie for the month! I updated my LB top four accordingly, which is an exceedingly rare occurrence. A genuinely perfect movie.
If we aren’t already LB friends, let’s change that! boxd.it/tlZt
