But even while being disturbing, it was captivating. I think the film did an amazing job showing their insanity, along with Spike's humanity through the whole ordeal. I think Sir Jimmy's last scene was very nice too, having him flip to a child-like demeanor on seeing what he thinks was really Satan.
I agree! I feel like they really did something original with Samson, which was nice to see for such a "clichéd" genre sometimes. The whole Jimmy experience was definitely something. I found a lot of their "lighthearted" scenes (Dipsy Dance & Meeting Kelson, especially) to be very disturbing (more)
My husband & I saw it today, and it was amazing! Definitely close to the original 28, so that was awesome. There's a lot of great scenes, some with symbolism & some with intense gritty stuff. I can't recommend it enough, honestly. Hopefully you enjoy it 😊
