My thought has generally been something like: "if I'm just playing pretend, then I guess I should keep doing it because it has been more effective than not doing it and is mostly an internal experience*."

Oops, more Sneasel. I edited my recent sprite to fit the GSC style rather than RGB's. Less anti-aliasing, more dithering. Also they have the chest gem now.

I still like RGB's style better, but this was fun!

I had fun here too and edited the gem out of this one as well. I think they look pretty good. I think I could have taken a few notes from Crystal's Sneasel, but ah well. They and Sneasel also have a fair, but less, chance of being confused for a real GSC sprite than the others, I think. 5/5
