NOAA's Arctic Report Card released yesterday with continuing bad news.
Anchorage Daily News used a 2024 image of 3 polar bears on Cooper Island. Their predation on nestlings caused a complete nesting failure for the Black Guillemot colony. Happened again in 2025.
