If Bad Bunny can cover the history of Puerto Rico, colonialism, transatlantic slavery, hemispheric consciousness, as well as contemporary life and politics in under 14 minutes, you can do your 15- or 20-minute conference presentation with time to spare.
Gefeliciteerd, welverdiend! ๐ฅ
Gotta love that we know this at all

It's incredibly important to have a journal like Open Humanities Data. Had the pleasure working with @l-teixeiracosta.bsky.social to publish a dataset of 11k+ records from the first illustrated flora of the Netherlands (19th century)
๐ Look at that turnaround time: 1 month!

Iโve only managed to once, but saw more memorable shows than all of the rest of that year

The fomo is very real

I donโt enjoy sharing these things, but I feel like the alternative (collectively) is worse.
How does one productively channel the anger from hearing so many stories like this?

Am reading a big music information retrieval paper purportedly studying trends in musical complexity over time. But then you get in there and the data set is comprised entirely of MIDI files. So this is not a study of music, this is a study of the aspects of music that can be notated.
