Clearly the crusade of stamping "warhammer" on every single thing GW makes takes priority over designing a usable product.

Just put it in those tiny tubes used for superglue
Half a teaspoon!? That can't possibly be right π
Surely they can't get much smaller?
Pictish art has all sorts of interesting creatures, though rather infuriatingly it's hard to find high quality examples of them.
A miniature of a bald man in golden armour holding a large hammer in one hand and a two headed eagle is perched on his other outstretched arm. His shoulders have a dark fur gloof from which hangs a deep red cape.

Out of all the Pictish artwork I've seen it's these two guys on the cross slab in Papil that I think of the most often.
I still think the physically sculpted metal minis of back then are miles more impressive than anything digitally modelled.
My monthly patreon release is now up, the lordings with great axes.

Pictish Warriors with axes and spears in a shieldwall
Since I designed my Picts with massed rank wargaming in mind one of the main priorities is making sure the melee infantry can form a convincing shieldwall.
I'll be working on a set with 2-handed spears and one with swords and that should cover most unarmoured melee infantry.

As another distraction I learnt how to use geometry nodes!
The experience could be best described as "infuriating" but the resulting wall looks quite nice.

9 heraldic shields with basic geometric figures known as heraldic ordinaries.
One of the tribers wanted us to make shields with heraldic ordinaries. Here is the first batch of feses, pales, bends, saltires, bordiures ect.

Dog study
As someone from the lovely island of Britain I am obliged to promote a sporting event in which we would have a 100% win rate.
But what if it's a dry day on the wet olympics?
Finally, I was able to paint up a model this year. #nerdlings #paintedMinis
For the first time in what must have been at least half a month the sky is clear and I can see the sun.
And it's dry! Not every surface is utterly drenched!
The ninth-century Forteviot Arch, whose imagery includes a cross with the Agnus Dei, or βLamb of Godβ, and a group of robed figures with staffs.
Cinaed (I) son of AlpΓn, king of the Picts, died at the royal centre of Fothuirtabaicht (Forteviot, Perthshire), #OTD in 858. His reign coincided with a possible Scandinavian conquest of the island portion of DΓ‘l Riata in 847. His brother Domnall succeeded him. The Forteviot Arch #medievalsky
A work in progress of an early medieval pictish wariiro
WIP of my first Pictish axeman, nothing too groundbreaking but I'm going to test having heads separate to the rest of the mini for the sake of adding variety.
A meme from the format of several armored warriors putting their swords into the center of a table, with the three visible figures labeled "tollund man," "me," and "the picts." In the center of the table is the label "yum oatmeal."

Here's something I cobbled together when I realised there's no way in hell I'm going to freehand hundreds of shields.
12 different early medieval large round shield designs, most of which are from historical illustrations.

A series of 3d modelled medieval axes
Next on the agenda is the "common warriors" of Pictish armies, and I'm going to make a lot of them, so that means I can throw in every wargear variant I can think of that fits the period.
For the time being here's some axes.
