Unless the United States were to send MILLIONS of people into Iran to force the issue, taking hundreds of thousands of casualties in the process, not even a termed surrender is possible.

The US cannot win a war with Iran. Not because we can't crush their military, but because we cannot crush 90 million people.

This isn't like Germany or Japan who were bled dry of fighting age men over 5 years of war and had their infrastructure pounded day and night for two years straight.

The last country that unconditionally surrendered to the United States was Japan, which only did so after a ground invasion of their last holdout in China.
