Tony Blair’s oil lobbying is a misleading rehash of fossil fuel industry spin Ex-PM’s thinktank urges more drilling and fewer renewables, ignoring evidence that clean energy is cheaper and better for bills

There are quite a few cynical and sinister figures in British public life. But Tony Blair is among the very worst. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Thanks for the info. Have now read last 2 Grauniad articles. Last study tiny and statistically insignificant so hard to extrapolate from it.
Also appears studies don't isolate new vs old WBS from open fires.
So clear need for better data and monitoring.

And of course this should not have happened. Any contract of this size must go through procurement, even when the incumbent has met all targets. And suitability and potential offshoring of UK data should invalidate Palantir completely.
This is the sort of shit Labour shouldn't do but sadly are.

How is Reform a political party when it's a Ltd company with 1 shareholder?
Therefore why are the allowed access?

Reform UK are seeking to fob off blame for their illegal leaflet on a printer error. That won’t stand up with the police - responsibility for making sure the law is followed lies with the party commissioning and distributing the leaflets.

Surely the critical word is "may".
Doesn't mean they are all bad by definition. Presumably there are monitors that can be used to detect any pollution anomalies?

There's a one hour special on Nigel Farage and Reform UK, and whether they are ready to lead, on BBC2

Presumably, there will be a similar one hour special on Zack Polanski, and whether The Greens are ready to lead, as well?

World would be a ‘better place’ if US took over Greenland, says Nigel Farage Reform leader says he agrees ‘strategically’ with Trump but adds that views of Greenlanders must be respected

Farage has the unbelievable nerve to talk at Davos about Britain’s “moral decline”.

This repulsive piece of shit IS Britain’s moral decline. He’s betrayed our country for self-interest, prejudice and greed. Shame on everyone who’s allowed that.

What to look out for in 2026 Welcome to the 193rd edition of The Week in Polls (TWIP), the final edition of 2025 and so a good time to take a look at what to watch out for in the polls for each party during 2026.

There is plenty of politics, and plenty of polling, to come in 2026, including a major set of elections in May for the Scottish Parliament, the Welsh Senedd and a large slice of English local government. What should we look out for in the polls for each party as the year progresses? buff.ly/ENPR5Ly

Yes. Definitely free membership to drive growth for the first few years. But was very scrappy to start with.
Used to find cars in lockups and random underground car parks rather than on street.
Hadn’t realised it was subbed by GLA.
