Aaand, Amazon has disabled their customer service email. If anyone has a back up contact email that goes to a person, I would appreciate it. They REALLY don't want to hear from us 😂
it absolutely sucks. As a full-time cruiser, it will likely be impossible for me to entirely ditch them. In the Keys, for example, there literally no local retailers in a whole range of segments. But, I'm at a place in my life where I sometimes have the luxury of paying more or waiting for goods.
I'm in. I'm also canceling Prime because fuck those guys.
Those who are saying a one-day blackout isn't enough: you're right.
So, do more.
- write to retailers to tell them why you aren't buying
- commit to longer boycotts
- buy from alternative sellers who support your values
There are more of us than there are them. We don't have to take this.
This is unacceptable.
I'll continue checking back throughout the month, but do not plan to order from Amazon any time I have any other feasible alternative.
One of the richest men on earth has taken over much of the retail commerce in the country and has now decided he will govern public discourse as well.
A newspaper with a specific agenda ceases to be a newspaper. It becomes a propaganda platform.
I can't find a way to cancel this current trial membership, probably because Amazon wishes to capture automatic renewals from the set it and forget it crowd.
