My big gripe has always been how a cyclist is expected to turn from northwest-bound Packard onto westbound Madison. When I’ve brought this up in the past, I’ve been told (1) wait for the red on Packard and cross, then (2) wait for another red on Division and cross. So wait through 2 lights? Hmm…

DeBord is spending his Spring Break behaving like an asshole on the A2 Politics FB group, because apparently he has nothing better to do.
The plans at engage.a2gov.org/packard-impr... fail to address the Packard/Division/Madison intersection, which I have long argued is the worst intersection for cyclists in Ann Arbor. It appears to be status quo.

Renter’s Commission is a great idea.
It’s hard enough to win as an Independent in an even-year #A2Council election. It’s well-nigh impossible if you’re not planning to spend more than $1000.
In the 4th Ward, Jeffrey Milk has withdrawn as a Democrat and pulled petitions as an Independent. #A2Council
I do get the sense that he’s trying to triangulate by courting the NIMBY vote while at the same time appealing to less polarized progressives.
OTOH, Arbaugh is free to endorse whomever she pleases, and there’s nothing he can do about it.
Not sure what to make of all this.
It’s important to note that Ream has already filed petition signatures and had those signatures verified, so even *if* he decides to drop out, his name will still be on the August ballot.
