Occasionally, I get to sleep with one less device attached to me. When this happens, I can sleep on whatever side I want without worrying about setting off a CGM alarm that makes my loved ones think I’m dying. I call this thrash sleep night. Happy thrash sleep night to all who celebrate.

This is being a woman or AFAB person in some whack ass comic book shops tbh. (Not all or even a majority in my anecdotal experience) but the bad ones are bad!! 🫠

For clarity insulin pumps can’t really be taken off for more than two hours or so. I have sleep issues etc. am thankful for technology keeping me alive but also 🫠

I have type 1.5 diabetes and tonight we say goodnight to my final thrash sleep night (where I take off my glucose monitor and sleep however I want and use a new on in the am) because I am getting my insulin pump (thankful). So all sleep henceforth will be anti-thrash sleep. 🥲
