๐Ÿ˜‚ I wrote a piece for the British Film Editors journal about accounts of early(ish) use of cat close-ups - "Fox-cats" and cries of "cut to a basket of kittens!" in cutting rooms of the 1920s. Of course I acknowledged the vital influence of 'The Sick Kitten'.

A photo looking over the heads of the audience towards the screen of Watershed cinema one. The image on the screen in teal, orange and white shows the Slapstick Festival logo and the event title "BUSTER KEATON: LE ROI DES CHAMPS-ELYSEES". There is a lectern with Polly Rose behind it, a short person with short dark hair wearing glasses with dark frames, a dark jacket and white t-shirt.

A view of the cinema screen in Watershed cinema one. In the foreground you can see the back of the heads of some audience members. The screen is showing an image of an original poster from 1923, it shows a man in nineteenth century dress sitting at a table and looking worried. The poster text reads: BUSTER KEATON IN OUR HOSPITALITY A METRO PICTURE IN 7 PARTS. On the right of the screen is a lectern with a person speaking to the audience, a piano with a man sitting behind it, and another man with a small drum kit.

In front of the cinema screen sits a person with short dark hair and glasses wearing a blue suit and holding a red microphone; and a man wearing black clothes with long grey hair in a ponytail who is signing the conversation for the audience.
