*so I’m game to try something that may not fit any patterns I’ve read before, too. That was where I was going with my last post. 😊

To be clear for BlueSky, I ordered it from your store. 😁 That’s actually how I discovered Carpe Librum, and of course, now I’m a regular customer, too. 🧡📚🥰

She said the town had once been kind, but kindness wears thin when too many souls suffer and the community forgets how to carry them. It had been a slippery slope from take care of everyone to take care of your own to take care of yourself.

Happily! I gifted Cinrak the Dapper to the most capybara-loving person I know (and I snuck a peek inside to check the writing first). It looks rather adorable! 😊

Graham Linehan proves the point that trans liberationists have been saying from the start:

If you'll permit dehumanising and stripping the rights of trans people, you will dehumanise and strip the rights of anyone on a long enough timeline.

This whole thread but this in particular. The rules of the game have not changed and will never change: All you have to do is tell a good story.

Well, and be patient, persistent, and resilient. You gotta earn success honestly if you want to keep it.

Also more evidence that it’s far easier to destroy something, even something “amazing”, than to do real good anywhere in the world 🤬

The Desire for Terror And the defense of democracy

A purpose of the war on Iran might well be to provoke a terrorist attack inside the United States. This would provide Donald Trump with a pretext to try to cancel or “federalize” the coming Congressional elections.

I *LOVE* this book! I first read it a solid 150 years after publication, and when I finished my (purchased) copy, I gifted it to a library friend who was also interested. Delightful!

That cover looks familiar, and I wonder if I grabbed this for my (towering) TBR. Glad you're enjoying it; I'll have to see if I have it, too!

😂 I am duly warned! 😁

And once I discover that I enjoy someone’s writing style, I will give almost anything of theirs a try. (I tend to be bored by vampire tropes in general, but both “The Vampire’s Raven” by C. Gold and the R. Fahrudeen trilogy starting with “A Rare Vintage” surprised me well. 😊)

Also, I must add that your bio here is fantastic! I especially smiled at “HEA or GTFO”, which suits at least 90% of my reading wishes at any time. And all the rest, too! 🌈

It’s my pleasure! I love discovering new authors to enjoy and will be looking into more of your work soon! I might even wait until I finish some of the several books I’m currently reading, but we’ll see 😂

“Nylah Zimmerbach and the Ghost of the Pendragon” is delightful!

Someone told me a few weeks ago that I would have a bigger following if I just did “news as entertainment for likes and ad revenue” and I gotta say there is little that enrages me more than people who jack the central nervous systems of others for profit, let alone when there are solutions on offer.
