Oh, and the d12+d8 encounter table is made so you don’t first roll a d6 to check for encounters. You only roll the d12+d8, which is why one of the spots is a “nothing happens”. So it combines the two rolls into one. Whether that’s easier or not is very much debatable haha.

The module was released in Feb 2025, and is the first ever module I’ve written (although it’s the third one released).
I totally agree with your points about keying. I’ve been actively developing a, hopefully, much clearer keying method since writing this module. Thanks again for reviewing it!

Regarding some of your thoughts: I’ve actually never played 5e haha. This was playtested in DCC. d12+d8 gives a nice flat middle of the curve. 1/2

Before you stretches a vast lake of bubbling & sizzling yellow liquid. Dotted within the lake are several large platforms – lumps of fat, hair, & undigested dead things – slowly bobbing up and down in the rancid liquid.
That’s super simple and clever. Might just implement that into my campaign!

I’m pretty sure you can use any Bluetooth controller. I actually think I’ve used a DualShock 4 with my Steamdeck (if I don’t misremember).

That’s a lovely way of describing it. I love the old school 70s fantasy stuff, but I also really love new modern illustration techniques and styles, so I’m glad that shows.
