Love that, spiritual psychosis it is then bc grandpa vader canonically entered the afterlife a changed man
I never watched Star Wars 9, did we ever figure out if Darth Vader was actually telling Adam Driver to be evil? or was that some kind of spiritual psychosis
Reminder that there are people who cannot speak on certain issues at certain times without threatening their immediate safety. Not a vague threat of future retaliation by an unknown hypothetical force, but a known threat that they are presently unable to get away from. Think before you assume.
If you're a "the curtains were fucking blue" person, you probably think that Atlas & Oracle spends a disproportionate amount of time thinking and singing about walls
Yes and it's beautiful (also sorry for being flippant I quit cigs last night and everything feels intensely personal today)
Ok go off skarbiter, you're at least 20 years behind btw
Benefits of growing up before and during the new gilded age: "It's not perfect, but it's the best we've got" will never again work on me as a justification for inaction, no matter who I hear it from, no matter what it is defending
I've felt this before, but I was then coerced into that lifestyle for a while once upon a time and found myself being way more jealous of people with hobbies, so ymmv π€·ββοΈ
If you're trying to hurt my feelings..... You've succeeded π₯²
You're so real for including this category
I'm not very brushed up on Irish ska but I have to imagine they're rife with songs about the horrors of British imperialism
In case of emergency break glass
And its a Ska album
The Memetics of Ska: a Master's Thesis (that I would love to see someone write)
Pretty sure the more niche essential playlists are mostly based on stream count unfortunately

This post has me questioning what it means to take a secret to one's grave
Working on it
You might second-guesa that opinion if you check out Bad Operation, idk what you consider as serious music though
Never doubt the tenacity of a man's inclination to apply moral judgments to people he sees as lesser while applying "it's complicated" to people he thinks can elevate his social status
Atlas & Oracle exists to prove that anger can be at once explosive, beautiful, subtle, lethal, and immensely full of hope.
I don't know how to tell you that if you're still fuming over things I said a week+ ago, you're already so far behind
What a week for new #Ska releases! New albums from @gruberites.bsky.social, David Hillyard, The Holophonics, Easydread, Juantxo Skalari, and Not The Face! Plus new @astralocale.bsky.social, 100 Kilo Herz, Sammy Kay, and more!

My music isn't meant to make you feel comfortable. There's no nostalgia, there's no inherent respect for tradition. There's no clarity on the surface level. It's meant to make you question why you think you want those things. By the way, why do you?
I don't mean to be rude but anyone who doesn't know what I'm all about has either literally never listened to an atlas & oracle album all the way through or doesn't know very much about history
People can say itβs utopian or dreamy but itβs a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because itβs not at all.
Screenshot of a CNN segment shared by Acyn. A split-screen shows commentator Lydia Moynihan on the left and Kevin OβLeary on the right during a heated exchange. The chyron reads, βObama: Dems need to avoid scolding and βvirtue-signaling.ββ The post quotes OβLeary referencing China and concentration camps, and McGowan responding about West Virginia.
I spent my childhood inside of American concentration camps. I know one when I see one. And that is what ICE is building.
