Latest retro vintage cube trophy deck by Matt. Might need to make some changes since there have been a lot of UG decks trophying.
Possible additions would be:
- AKs or FoF for card advantage.
- The remaining 2 impulses for card selection.
- Powder Keg to primarily deal with a rush of 0/1 drops before phoenix can deal with stuff
- at least 1 Shard Phoenix: It's going to sit in your hand too often as a 5 drop. You want quicker ways to clear the board.
-2 Incinerate: Bolt is just better but either case not sure how much removal you want.
My suggestions for cuts would be:
-2 Unifying Theory: Too expensive to generate advantage. Will dig your opponents out more than it will benefit you.
-2 Stifle: they only are good with tide or situationally good depending on the matchup and you have enough other tide combo cards.
It looks like your only source of card advantage is unifying theory. The deck is mana hungry already so it's likely benefitting your opponent more than you
There are also a lot of cards that are dead in certain matchups. You're have built in disadvantage with lens/sky so can't afford more dead cards

Yeah went down to 16 lands. Might have been the wrong call. Some games did go longer
Followed it up with a 2-1 in a 6-man team draft with a so-so BR aggro deck with a fun reanimate sideboard option.
Got the 3-0 6-0 in my first vintage cube draft with a sick UG Zirda deck
