A thank you to everyone who has picked up and read my books--even just one. I appreciate you!
It's a roadblock of my own making. I write a lot of different kinds of books, different genres, which means building a brand is tough. Readers who liked one book may not like the next because it'll be completely different. But I get bored writing the same things over and over, so...

Amaurodios is discovering the world, so his interactions with everything are significant. Everything is new to him, and he's fascinated by all of it.

A necessary evil? I'm just not good at it, despite trying and following a lot of the advice. And I also don't have the budget to splash out. I feel pretty overlooked and unwanted a lot of the time. Marketing makes that worse because you're overlooked DESPITE the efforts to be seen.

WIP Status Update:
I'm just shy of 30k words on THE GREAT DIVIDE (Changers: Book 2), which puts me at just shy of 50% done with the draft (the first book was ~65k words). Will it be ready for July? ๐ฌ This may get pushed back a little...
Since AElit is on Earth, they have the same crops. Wheat, oats, and rye. Herbs, berried, fruit trees. Carrots and beans. Honeysuckle is actually a favorite. And there is a mushroom called "Tithendion's hand" or "Creator's hand" that is rare but prized for its, er, effects.

This also goes for the House Repugnicans.
Many plants are used for healing, but the willow tree is the symbol of healing in AElit. You will find amulets with Staurean (the ninata associated with healing) on one side and a willow tree on the other. A sign with a willow means there is a healer at that location.

Everything is a risk in my WIP. There are three POV characters, each paired with another character, and they all have difficult objectives, even if the goal is simply to survive.
A fortune cookie fortune that reads: "This year will be full of surprises."
I'd like to decline this offer.
Black and white image of Nuremberg defendants on trial while guarded my military police.
Time to put the Senate Republicans on trial. Remind me, what's the punishment for treason? ๐ค

Oh, look--America's great again... for capitalist billionaires and p@edof!les...

What if Maleficent was Aurora's mother and what if she wasn't really evil?

Not a specific plant necessarily, but the first flower of spring is a big deal as it heralds the return of Durandios. Evergreens over the winter are also highly prized.
A sign with a willow tree on it means the person is or the place has someone trained in healing.

My characters (in this WIP) are well aware that much of their lives have been orchestrated by the complex system of their government. They're just wondering who exactly made these plans and why.
Out on Friday... Can't wait to get better understanding of this title. (Assuming we do.)

Rumors that Mr. Dougherty has gone crazy. Rumors of dragons. And not so much lies as obfuscation regarding the origins of the Clans and why the Magi are in charge.
The NONsupreme court continues to allow religion (THEIR religion) to inform law and only believes in "states' rights" when they're sure the states will also make laws couched in Christian Nationalism. Dumpster is a felon, illegal president & his court appointees should be yanked from their benches.

I'm old school in that I've used Word for years, but my version of it is finally dying and I don't want to move to a subscription version. So I've been transitioning to Google Docs. I've tried Scrivner and Campfire but don't really use them.
We cannot hope that the midterm elections will save us. They are likely to be compromised (by Dumpster & Friends) if not outright cancelled. Action is required now.
Cancel midterm elections.
