the number 10 can of blackberries my father never let me eat. I've finally opened it.

I found it in mother's basement, and Santa gave it to me for christmas (again) this year.
(I wanted the strawberries, but those must have ended up at father's house. Mother only had blackberries.)

Santa gave my family food storage for christmas when I was like 10. I asked my dad if I could eat the dried fruit (it was my christmas present, right?), but he was all like it's food storage- we can't eat it now. We never ate the dried fruit. It just sat there for 15 years.

(i grew up in utah and currently live in illinois)

my father trying to tell me that utah is pretty "fiscally responsible." wtf dies that mean? the state is frugal?
I think it means you don't see the vast majority of your tax money come back to benefit you in any meaningful way. (and utah's tax burden rating isn't great. about the same as illinois.)
