Today here's something very obscure, the artwork for a game which I believe was never released for the #MSX: Hi-Power Sumo. This was used for advertising on Japanese magazines. Removed text/logos, applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch combo. No clue on the artist.

Got another heretofore undumped MSX rescue to share with you all! An indie shmup exclusive to the MSX Turbo R called "Silent Ripper," released by a doujin circle called Sequence in 1994. Sadly, the only rescue I managed to score out of SEVEN I was bidding on -- the others just went for way too much!
Xak: The Art of Visual Stage used on the cover of the MSX 2, Sharp X68000, NEC PC-88 and PC-98 releases in Japan. Image depicts a blue haired warrior wielding a sword and shield with some other characters such as dragons and ghouls behind him. The background features a sunset with some clouds in blue and green hues.
The artwork of #Xak: The Art of Visual Stage used on the cover of the #MSX2, #SharpX68000, #NEC #PC88 and #PC98 releases in Japan. This is a v2 using a much better source with upscaling/retouching applied. I suspect Michitaka Kikuchi aka Kia Asamiya is the artist for this one.
