Welp I saw The Ballad of Wallis Island and found the Sundance movie I'm going to be championing for the next year. I have a cold stony heart but damned if it didn't get a tear out of me. The Tom Basden/Tim Key Oscar train starts here!
It's our 3rd Christmas TV movie special, and this time it's the surprisingly good Hallmark Hall of Fame James Garner/Julie Andrews romance ONE SPECIAL NIGHT

Hey friends, quick PSA: If you read a listicle and disagree with it, I promise it's ok if you just move on with your life instead of tracking down the personal email of the writer to let them know they're dumb and wrong
Have been working on this for a while -- got the chance to do an oral history of Night of the Comet, one of my absolute fave '80s horror movies, over at @nerdist.bsky.social!

Nope! I love goofy horror movies from the 1980s -- Chopping Mall, Night of the Comet, Night of the Creeps, etc. I am a big old wimp, so I find horror comedies to be my sweet spot. Will definitely still watch SCARY scary movies, but I have to psych myself up for them.
I have drawn a line in the sand and threads is way the fuck over there, Zuck's not fooling me again
when movies get deleted for tax reasons, they should legally become public domain. people should be allowed to upload it anywhere they want. that's the tradeoff you make if you wanna delete your own movie released this year for a few extra bucks, and i think it's fair
It's the 4th of July so I want to share the most American piece of US foreign policy I know: the US has a habit of not signing international treaties, not because it doesn't support them, but because it doesn't want to set the PRECEDENT of letting the United Nations TeLL tHeM wHaT tO dO.
Having 15,000 followers on Tw*tter but 20 (?) on here makes me feel like a cab driver who was a doctor in their home country that got politically destabilized by the CIA.
