an advice regarding fandom that i rly like: instead of publicly complaining why there is too much of (disliked ship/dynamic), just create what you wanna see instead. that way, the number of works for your desired ship/dynamic increase and you might be seen as a madman (/pos) instead of madman (/neg)

i think theres a large number of people who value 'friends' only in terms of what that person can give them/do for them - so when you're giving them free art, youre "earning" their friendship. But because thats how they view 'friends', they assume YOU must want to get something from them in return
