Keep on walking.
Our last Christmas present - the most delicious one, yet bitter sweet - arrived in the mail from Jerusalem, Palestine. Just made it before we put the tree away.
Love this. 👌
Came across this quote today: “…mercy is no substitute for justice”, Sr Catherine Sullivan, nurse at the former leprosarium, Carville, LA, 1920s. I know the same sentiment has been expressed by many in history. A good reminder for global health, especially when “charity” does not advance justice.
We love Banjo and really enjoyed his show. Best comfort telly and lovely fresh air on our screens. Looking forward to the Christmas episode.
I’ll quote that brilliant new word!

Hi Jonathan, a friendly reminder about your use of the “L” word here - people affected by leprosy (of which there are still millions) do not like being called that. Here’s why, from the Leprosy Mission website. Perhaps you can do a little correction?
I have just watched the trailer for the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, and I cannot, but cannot, wait until 17 January to see the film.
"He served less time for killing a Palestinian child than many Palestinian children do for throwing stones at Israeli soldiers."
I’ve just arrived and it seems my people are not here yet, so here’s a photo from my midday walk earlier today at Darlands Nature Reserve.
Also, how do you face people?
Hmmm. Hello, Bluesky.
I never know what they actually do anyway, those management consultants.
