People were saying goodbye to the Switch months ago, but I'm sticking with mine. I don't feel like chasing the next gizmo anymore, until I know it ain't killing the planet, our privacy or our wallets. I'm modding my shit to beat the system, from now on, & making do with what I have.

I already liked Monster Hunter. Would I have purchased MH3 prior to seeing Ironbeard promos? Sure, but having him show out for that game, in the ways he did, was next level, & locked me in. I don't think Capcom, or any other game company, will give this much of a damn about promos again.
Please forgive me for being late in realizing the fate of Stan Ellsworth, the guy who played Ironbeard McCullough in the Monster Hunter Tri promos. I finally did my research, & discovered he had passed away a few years ago. He really was a fighter, but COVID was no joke, nor are strokes.
Satan couldn't plot a better attack on Christ than having soulless cunts cosplay as worshippers of Christ while they ravage the world, spread lies, & pilfer the gullible. No wonder more people don't fw one of many denominations of a religion that gives next to no shits what their own God thinks.
If I wanted the world to hate the name of Christ, I would lead a religion by taking His name, twisting His words, promoting everything He stood against & spreading the religion through coercion & bloodshed, as Western Christianity always does. It's a slap to the face of Jesus, but He'll turn cheek.
These ghouls are 'taking the Lord's name in vain.' Not by screaming, "Jesus Christ," out of shock or "God dammit," when they stub their toes. No, I mean they wear his name as a vanity item, like a Rolex, to show that they're the acceptable ones & in the right of things. His name is a game to them.

4. Barring any of that, the author is right; we only get painted further into a corner, while we escape into our screens. We might have to play less nice to save the world. Civility & reason is for those who respond to it, & don't have our dollars too stuffed in their eyes & ears to hear us out.

1. I'll admit; most of my hobbies are predominantly screen based, & perhaps it's time to pick up new ones. If electronic based activities are among our repertoire, we should pair that with recycling & renewing old technology, instead of chasing the next gizmo.

2. I'm somewhere in the true prime of my life. Not as a child or adolescent, but a true adult who has outgrown the angst & still has joints that don't hurt when moving around. I can get more out of it than I already am. What do I do? Work on myself a bit more, then make some good 'ole days happen.
