I think Iran is just keeping their head down and the straight closed at this point.

Basically every middle eastern government is completely full of shit. Presumptively lying. I don't know what's happening at the Dubai Airport, but the local government is the last information source I'd trust.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. โ€œMAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).โ€ Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The American political class is utterly delusional, adrift in a dream of normality, unable to process the actual reality of events on the ground, where the US just launched a completely unprovoked war against a massive country, murdered its leadership, and demanded its conversion to a vassal state.

it's insane that my country's current position is that, if we don't like the leader of a sovereign nation, not only do we get to kill them we get to pick their successor

After we pretended to negotiate with Venezuela, then suddenly attacked them, and then we pretended to negotiate with Iran, then suddenly attacked them, I'm not really sure why Cuba or anybody else would take "making a deal" with us seriously.

I feel like you can ALWAYS argue why "this one doesnt count." The numbers are what they are, but job creation has been bad/negative for more than 6 months now.

If it comes down to sampling error you'd expect this to be revised up, but almost every recent report has been revised *down* for structural reasons, no?

What does that even mean in this case? What are our goals?

The U.S. economy lost 92,000 jobs in February, stoking labor market worries The economy has remained a mixed bag, in part because of a government shutdown and a lack of clarity over the Trump administration's tariff agenda.

Noem belongs in jail, but Mullin is a sycophantic, ignorant racist too. This is a sidegrade for folks concerned about the rights of immigrants and US citizens.

"You cannot pardon a crime to which you yourself are party" is an entirely sensible rule, and our dozen+ new SCOTUS justices will agree that it's what the founders intended.

I remember literally crying in school about getting a C in middle school. It felt like my future was over.

School matters a hell of a lot when it's the center of your "work" AND personal life.

I could see it as a legitimate criticism of Modi, but more likely it's just coming from "all brown people look alike."

On my mom's side, blue collar factory worker who ended up working for a defense contractor. Smart guy, though not as much of a big shot as he imagined.

On my dad's, business-bullshit salesmen turned caterer (who was on a Judge Judy like court TV show for screwing over a customer) turned alcoholic.

Kelly: "You could pick a random group of people off the street tonight here in DC and they could probably do a better job than our government is doing right now. They don't have a goal, there's no strategic plan. And what this is likely to lead to is, again, a long war with a lot of dead Americans."

I get this, but also people who aren't coders mostly see AI as a somewhat useful (and often times annoying/unwanted) tool and not the earth shattering new epoch that boosters make it out to be.

Maybe AI will come for us all eventually, but my day-to-day just isn't that impacted (yet?).

I think it's more likely that they pay lip service to economics but are actually motivated by the same culture war grievance politics as the rest of MAGA.

They turned their backs on the national GOP between elections. What are the odds they forgive and forget by the time it comes to actually vote?

If it's Talarico v Paxton, I'm not so sure he'll lose.

Anyway, the whole calculus of Texas Dems is they will probably lose, but if they win they're legends.

The average American has time to watch enough TV, and spend enough time on Facebook, to be as informed as they want to be. The problem is that most people are perfectly content in their ignorance, because most people are morons.

That's not a new phenomenon either, it's simply the way things are.

Extradite everyone involved in the Caribbean killings to Colombia to face murder charges there. JD Vance will do great in a South American prison.

Frankly, we've seen enough: it's time to fire all the cowards who toadied to Trump and disgraced their institutions in the process. CEOs, lawyers, university presidents. Clear them all out, replace them with people who stood firm. Remake our society with leaders who have principles and courage.
