Banned & Challenged Books ALA compiles data on book challenges from reports filed by library professionals in the field and from news stories published throughout the United States.

I often reference the American Library Association's Banned Books resources. (I just read Ashley Hope Pérez's Out of Darkness due to their list of frequently challenged books.)

Do you know if the ALA's data is different from Pen America's?

The Raspberry Pi needs a goofy, lovable operating system. No version of linux is it, IMHO. They are great little computers but I feel like they are missing that special something that made people *feel*. Are there any loveably weird OSes anymore? @gruber.foo

I played so much Space Marine 2nd edition (aka Epic Space Marine) back in the ‘90s. I think I still have the Hive Mind/Tyranid box set someplace.

Savage Tales of Conan, published by Titan Comics? Heavy Metal just started publishing again too. The indie comics market (not Marvel or DC). Self publishing to the Kindle/eBook platforms.

And to be clearer, when I suggest access to the index be made available I could imagine there being provisions for “reasonable access fees” that are highly regulated by a watch dog agency or something like that. Not necessarily that access to the index would be a free for all.

If the goal is to break an illegal monopoly you have to somehow end the unique and sole access to the source of the monopoly. I think it would be something like eminent domain for the Internet. Domain names and assets are seized by the government all the time to end illegal operations.
