Social Media became weaponized. Legacy media became bought by technofascists. Propaganda is the strongest weapon in the modern age and everyone seems to just dismiss it, or downplay its effect as if it isn't influencing them too.

The thing is that you can't ask gravity or rocks for grace and understanding. You can ask people. The fact that the metaphor you used treats people's refusal to make space as immutable absolutes is the problem.

This is why when I publish my books I'm going to go with a Daft Punk or Yoko Taro approach. I will create an author persona with a mask and that's who you get into interact with as the fanbase. The person under the mask is off limits and will fade into obscurity.
