With Kämpf presumably getting a jersey next game and going forward I doubt Lappy gets back in unless there’s an injury, and maybe it would hurt his stock if he gets in for a handful more games and doesn’t do much in them, but I would love another strong performance or two to attract some suitors
I’m only half joking when I say GMCP should be pitching VAN specifically, and other Pacific teams (including Calgary), on his services. Give the Canucks a chance to buy low on a distressed asset that torches the Flames. Just because it hasn’t worked here doesn’t mean it won’t work somewhere
I don’t think he’s done enough to prop his window in DC open. Being a couple years into not grabbing a roster spot in spite of numerous gift-wrapped opportunities to do so won’t endear you to decision makers. But he has those better results to point to, plus he was a first round pick and that counts

Things got better, or worse depending on how you’re looking at things. I don’t know that I can cheer for better draft positioning in what seems ever more likely to be Ovi’s last season but if there’s a bit you know I’m gonna commit to it
But the problem at forward I agree is a larger concern. Lots of good support players but not much to lead the attack beyond PLD and Leonard. Lil Pro looks good in Hershey but maybe not a game breaker either. GMCP spent all year looking for that top 6 skill guy, maybe this offseason he’ll find one
I’m not great on who shoots which way but I think the D (near) currently looks like defense on the right (Marty, Roy, Liljegren) and offense on the left (Chychrun, Sandin, Hutson soon), and that seems good to pretty good to me. Maybe you’d like variety to go double offense but that seems minor
Finally got those new shoes, explicitly called walking shoes. They have a slightly dropped heel and seem like they’ll roll along real nice but the true test lies ahead. Also got some bacon cheesy tots as a treat, a thing I didn’t know existed and an improvement on the cheesy tots I love too much
Definitely helped having a better frame. I was new to Ghibli and had done mostly the serious ones the first time so I didn’t really click with the much lighter young girl makes her way vibe. Second time around was a delight. The whole design of Jiji is great, really nails the small cat feel

I was going to watch Portrait of a Lady on Fire again for International Women’s Day but I want something a little lighter so we’re revisiting Kiki’s Delivery Service, which didn’t really grab me the first time but maybe with expectations fixed it’ll be a better fit

Sadness update for the day now that I’ve double checked where the lottery begins. Caps are probably a couple spots lower since the West playoff line is much lower than the East, but still not good. Playoff chances look even worse though. Cap might get to the low/mid 20s without going full tank
Turns out I was using the cost for a general and not a captain, so that’s 90 points saved by double checking. That’s a lot better than
