it turns out, in the downfall and segmentation of social networks, I default to going silent entirely, lurking on the timelines, and never posting a single thing ever.

I get why journalists are reticent to try to port a following to a new platform—I was, and I still post my work everywhere—but if your career is predicated on people clicking your links and engaging with your work, this site is the only one not actively working against that.

I prefer setting the bar incredibly low, so people have a chance to unfollow early if they want 😂
