Looking good, interested to see where you go with this one ๐ Are the creepy crawlies the good or bad guys?
I've got to wait until June for my Devon fix, hope you have a great time down there ๐
Nice, we've stayed at Hope Cove just around the corner a few times. Lovely bit of the country ๐ I'm assuming you've been to Burgh Island before, but if not, it's worth a visit. We used to go on holiday there in the 70s before it became very posh!
That looks nice, where is it? I love staying by the sea :)
Having said that....a new home laptop is on the horizon so I *might* install Linux on the old one for "fun" ๐
Perfect. *shudder*
It was things like this that resulted in me switching back to windows, in particular the Ubuntu "upgrade" that killed the BIOS and stopped my laptop from ever being and to "sleep" properly again. I enjoy a bit of OS tinkering, but it got boring after a while. Windows 10 "just works"
Xenon 3 - The Megabug ๐ค
This sounds amazing ! @negativecharge.bsky.social , I'm guessing processor speed would stop this sort of audio quality being possible on the Electron (and Beeb?).
"Right on, Commander"
Up there with "Ecky Thump" as a favourite memory ๐
Option 3 looks intriguing ๐ค
ABUG south in early March would be a great place for a release party ๐
I'm in Woking, will wave if I see you ๐๐
A day to decompress after all the new knowledge intake of the new job?
Biology was the only science I enjoyed, but for some reason I couldn't do it at O level due to how they arranged the lessons. Same with history - they paid the price for me choosing computer studies.
I had that microscope :) Also a chemistry set and an electronics kit, didn't really work for me though as my parents didn't end up with a scientist son. I do however now write software used by scientists so ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Great to hear ๐
If you've got access to Disney+ then I can thoroughly recommend watching Beatles Anthology, it's a wonderful series that delves into the history of the Beatles - really enjoyable. Worth taking a subscription out just to watch this and their other music documentaries IMO.
My cousin taught me how to solve it when I was 13, I can still remember the sequences now which comes in handy during some online meetings ๐
It's my original "knock off" Rubik's cube from the early 1980s so has lasted incredibly well given the use it's had.
Just missing a printer :) I have a Rubik's cube in front of my monitor in my home office.
My daughter works at McLaren, lots of stuff (including Star Wars Andor) was filmed there - we always enjoy spotting it.
Some of this was being filmed down at Beer Quarry Caves when we were on holiday in the area last June. I will probably watch it just to try and spot what they were doing there ๐
Hope you're feeling better soon! I can't remember if you use GitHub, but it's quite good for helping with bugs like this as if you do small commits then looking through the recent changes can help pinpoint the "ah why did I delete that moment" ๐
Got it ๐ Nice clues
Hype overload, I had to turn the radio off after listening to him being interviewed for a bit on R4. I can't wait for the AI bubble to burst and a degree of sanity to be restored.
That looks more playable though, you still have to be aware of the duck to avoid it but with all the other additional difficulties you have to deal with (above normal Chuckie Egg) then it helps. Maybe an opportunity for Easy & Hard mode ๐
If any data engineers with Databricks experience and an interest in AI are following me, then the company I work for are looking for someone like you ๐ Please DM me if interested.
