Have you tried not too dark but colorful? I've been using sepia powder followed by colorful mechanical pencil for sketch transfer and I love the control that gives.

A very colorful digital painting showing a scene where a relatively small black hole is causing an awful lot of problems at a settlement. The potholes alone are going to be disastrous. Also the first time I had to draw a spaceship! Since I'm a lot more familiar with explosions, I put a bunch of those over the biggest ship and immediately felt much better.

I'd intended to post this one quite a while ago, but the black hole ate that thought. Whoops!

It's the multiversal mandatory friendship tree! I like the inclusions of the pink wispy lighting along the train, it's a great contrast to the black and white.
