i buy most of my produce at Aldis & the onions are the worst, neck and neck with the potatoes. i finally bought a bag & chopped them & froze them so i don't keep wasting them but sometimes i need a whole fresh onion. i'm trying to re-educate myself to doing 2x weekly grocery run & buying less

i bought potatoes on a friday. by the next wednesday they'd sprouted (and yes i keep them in a cool dark place). vegetables do not last any more probably because it takes them so long to get to point of sale.
