I keep seeing studies
which find how Covid
damages the brain
and the lungs
and the heart,
and a new study finds
it raises the risk
of kidney disease too,
all of which is why
you will find me
still wearing a mask.

Amazing design and connection! I’m a retired special ed teacher, mostly preschool, K, and primary grades. I’m still in touch with one student, now in her 20s and it’s wonderful. My son is in touch with his K teacher which I love.

The Loneliness Experienced During Forever CancerΒ Care At first, there so much noise. Phones ringing, kind and supportive messages flooding in. Appointment after appointment, preparation for surgery after surgery. Fitting it all in becomes a full time job. Information is a flood, coming at you faster than you can process it, like drinking from a fire hose. People are everywhere, offering a hand, food, respite, coffee. Health care workers asking question after question after question. You feel at the center of a very large, uncontrollable storm. And almost immediately, you are isolated, alone. Because even surrounded by people you love, something irrevocably separates you.

We need a woman as president so desperately. In fact, we need an entirely matriarchal government for at least a few generations. Men have been running wild for a bit too long.

A nephews had a live donor liver transplant in August, over 2 yrs after a devastating stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis at 33. We did a family and friends zoom info meeting to ask for potential donors. Over 50 people applied to be a donor!! It’s marvelous that there are so many good people!

2/2 I had progression 3x, treated by radiation (SBRT). Scans last week showed NEAD, no evidence of active disease, status since 2022. Just amazing! I’ve been very lucky. All the best to you!

1/2 Congratulations and cheers! I’m 14 1/2 years post dx w stage 4 lung cancer. Initial biopsy showed EGFR and I started on Tarceva. In 2 months, I could breathe better. Resistance (T790) showed up and I was in an early trial for Tagrisso in 10/2013 and I’m still on it!

I was dx’d in 8/2012, the week of my 58th bday. I was first on Tarceva and could breathe better in 2 months. Progression happened and I started an early trial for Tagrisso in 10/2013. I’m still on it! Thanks to all the medical researchers and patients who helped me live. @DanaFarber

My nephew was diagnosed with stage 4 CRC at 33. He had 2 years of very aggressive chemo, then had a liver transplant 6 months ago. He’s doing well, I’m glad to say.

Hey there clean air friends! Can anyone recommend a simple explainer resource re CO2 levels that I could share with the new roller rink in the area that measured 4000+ on my Aranet? I'd love to be able to share feedback with them in hopes that they can make some improvements. It was really bad. 🀒

PSA: if you have chronic fatigue and have never had your ferritin checked, please do so.

And look at the actual value because the reference range is likely trash. It should be at minimum 30 and ideally 50+

Thank you for your attention.
