MARAD: 27-40% U.S. Waterfront Industrial Facilities Gone In 20 Years In a sloppy, incomplete and scary report, the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) released the first annual report card on America's industrial waterfront since 2004.

As we spin up the Navy for a dangerous assignment, it's worth looking at this dumpster-fire report from MARAD--that if you dig through the dross and mistakes--that America's waterfront is not up to the Navy it has.

The U.S. prohibition on the use of nuclear weapons is just a norm.

And to a whole lot of people in DC these days, a Norm is just a barfly in an old U.S. sitcom.

Remember, real estate guysβ€”the guys who really have the itch for itβ€”have a terminal weakness.

Whenever they find something that works, they will keep doubling down… until it doesn’t.

I am so I’d I remember just how hard d SCUD-hunting was, and there were only like 50 of them to suppress, find and destroy.

Now they’re smaller, cheaper and more numerous.

β€œApparentlyβ€œ and β€œmistakenlyβ€œ are two VERY different words.

Always interesting when the word β€œapparentβ€œ is forced to do a lot of heavy lifting.

β€œNever mind the tertiary effects, always go straight at themβ€œ is great strategy…right up until you go winchester.

If I was running a country in the Gulf, I’d take this moment to grab every remote and pesky Iranian island.

I guess it’s a good time to point out that Fleet Admiral Nimitz taught ROTC at University of California, Berkeley.

In Minneapolis, MN, indecent exposure is governed by state statute 617.23, which defines it as willfully/lewdly exposing private parts..A first offense is typically a misdemeanor (90 days jail/$1,000 fine), but a gross misdemeanor or felony based on prior convictions or presence of minors.

What are the polymarket odds that this gun-banning talk will lead some unhinged 2a rights person to do something that, ultimately, leads to the invocation of the insurrection act?

Trump: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident."

But ”Who Will Do This”?? Not Congress, because they’re too lazy and stuck in defeatism/feigned powerlessness. The Administration? They…could…but outside of USCG’s Sean Plankey, leadership is focusing more on PR than in getting things done.

And, to be honest, I’d give FEMA a spot at the Cabinet table too. The political value of FEMA has been woefully underestimated, imo

Refocus the border elements on, well, the dang border. I’d almost consider burying the Border Patrol someplace under DoD.
