Update - it's resolved!

Applied for a Canada tourist visa and the IRCC got back to me saying I still hold a PR of Canada?! Apparently my parents had Canadian PR (yes, I spent some years growing up in Canada). They came back to India in 2002, but never formally gave up their PR. Any advice for how to handle this situation?

There's a very good movie I think you should watch called "Judgment at Nuremberg". It's largely concerned with how fascism grows by convincing people to collaborate right up until they reach their redlines, and then quietly replacing them once the fascists decide they're ready to cross the redlines.

And humble. His humility inspires me to stay grounded.
