Taking a 5 y/o to Trader Joe’s is how you learn that it’s ultimately a candy store that also sells groceries.

Russian Circles played in Philly last night, and, mid-set, the guitarist suddenly stopped the song and proceed to duct tape something on his pedalboard before resuming. The crowd roared in support the whole time. Amazing show, and the glimpse of “how the sausage is made” made it even more memorable.

It is almost funny how bad the Aeropress Pro is compared to the original: it’s heavy and unstable, takes a while to preheat (and then it’s too hot when it’s time to clean), it drips faster (I guess, metal against metal doesn’t seal as well) and takes up more space. It does look kinda cool though.

It happened! I found my first coffee bag rock today. Took me 10 years of grinding coffee daily from dozens of different roasters. Good thing I spotted it before it could destroy my grinder.

People keep telling me that I should adopt a more optimistic attitude and exercise trust. So I got this new USB hub and thought what the hell, let’s start by redoing all of my desk wiring to run to the hub.

Looked very neat… but the hub refused to play with half of my peripherals. Never again!
