Yeah. I do subscribe to the philosophy that core shouldn’t add unnecessary features, i.e. they should be plugins as needed, but when it comes to design I’m much more inclined to support core blocks. Core should ask hosts what the most popular x block is, e.g.mega menu, and ask the developer to merge

Extending classes is a fundamental part of object orientated programming and open source code. To restrict that ability by using `final` is good for the individual but not good for the community
