Had some comfort food: THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN.
Not my favourite by any means, but itβs old school popcorn James Bond fun.
Interestingly, the production looked at filming in Iran - this was before the revolution, of course.
Tunnels and Trolls was my introduction to roleplaying games - the first thing available to buy after The Warlock of Firetop Mountain wetted my appetite.
I donβt typically read superhero graphic novels or comics, but Iβve been burning through BLACK HAMMER.
Itβs fantastic
Mentioned it before, and Iβm recommending it again: ONITAMA.
A terrific 2-player game that plays in 10 minutes- Iβve yet to introduce it to anyone who didnβt want to play again.
(Iβve pimped my copy with chess pieces)

The Fog (1980)
"Eleven fifty-five... almost midnight. Enough time for one more story."
What a classic. John Carpenter does it again. This is the definitive ghost story movie for me. Moody atmosphere, an all star cast, and a lived-in town full of local eccentrics.
Machetes up for thisπͺπͺ
If youβre a LABYRINTH fan and a lover of real art, can recommend the LABYRINTH BESTIARY:
Like TLOU2, I had to tune up the difficulty to max for scavenging items. Because I search every nook, I tend to get buried under scrap and whatnot, which also has the side-effect of making ammo management trivial.
Finished ATOMFALL and both expansions. Wonderful game - I got about 61 hours enjoyment out of it.
Skeleton astronauts might be my favourite sc-fi trope
For those who might enjoy it, I made a scenario for the SPACE 1999 RPG @modiphius.bsky.social

I created an unofficial expansion for the British OSR, WARLOCK RPG (hopefully some use to a few of you):

Iβll have to check it out, thanks
Rewatched MALIGNANT.
I really like this movie, and the soundtrack is terrific.
Can recommend another deep space horror RPG hardback: ACROSS A THOUSAND DEAD WORLDS
βThe Negative Man!β - A man made of energy, sort of like electrically charged fire, stands before two men, one of whom is holding a fire extinguisher.
House of Mystery no. 84 (Mar 1959) cover by Bob Brown. This is a cool cover representing a story inside thatβs illustrated by Jack Kirby. Brown manages to capture the spirit of Kirby, and some of his dynamism. Even a bit of the olβ Kirby Krackle! Also note this was several years before Doom Patrol.
I might have imagined it, but I think I saw a wargame of V being played with painted miniatures.
They could bring her back (I hoped they would), but she sure seemed murdered.
25th February, 1978:
"Doctor Who: The Invasion of Time" part 4. #DoctorWho
Got my dad into this as well!
Can wholeheartedly recommend this DELTA GREEN RPG podcast: @sorryhoneycast.bsky.social
Agreed. The comments I've been reading on reddit, etc, have made me lose some faith in humanity today
In 1979 while some friends were playing football and getting into fights, I was quietly illustrating a Doctor Who fanzine for my fellow nerds
Thereβs something for all tastes in HULL BREACH for the Mothership RPG:
Some of the miniatures Martin Bower worked on for Alien, Outland and Space 1999. From The Guide to Fantasy Art Techniques (1984)
CHILDREN OF THE STONES (1977): ITV's landmark folk horror serial for children, and it's every bit as mature, dense, and scary as anything for adults. Happy day!
ACTION: BEFORE THE BAN!
Ahead of our new collection TOMORROW, we're celebrating 50 years of Britain's most controversial comic - and in issue #12, you better Look Out For Lefty!

I played a solo WALKING DEAD RPG session. Notes below:
I LOVED this as a kid. Still got a few of the ACTION annuals, and the newer compilation release.
Anybody new to this I give a word of caution: some racial elements might be triggering.
