The map creates a problem because of the tight grid network, which genuinely just doesn’t exist in Columbus Metro. MAYBE Bexley? If you only go by the map the best guess is actually Lancaster or Newark, but the vibe is not really either of them…

Then the radio alert. They say the alert is for Franklin and Delaware counties. And it’s muffled but I’m pretty sure they say Granville?what’s at the center of those? New Albany

When the kid rips up the letter and the camera pulls out, you see a new build suburban neighborhood with some sizable hills in the background. Gotta be on the eastern ring of the city for that. You’re not seeing those hills from Powell or UA.

Still time left to find more evidence, but as I’m watching I’m looking for the clues. The way they keep describing the neighborhood as “fancy” makes me think UA, Powell, New Albany, maaaybe Worthington, or Bexley. Lots of well off Columbus places, but “fancy” is specific.

I’m pretty sure something clearly makes it New Albany, because I have spent the past few years absolutely certain that it is.
