That's not true. But Mike Brady took the whole family to Hawaii not to supervise a construction project, or for Greg to attempt competitive surfing, or for the kids to learn the lore about enchanted tiki dolls, but just to avoid an interview with Chotiner.

My essay on Skid Row's neglected masterpiece, suburban basements, Dial MTV, and whether Liking Things really matters is up today! @marchxness.bsky.social
Iβll just say the guys behind the counter making the sandwiches totally looked like the kind of guys who would listen to Om
Over a decade ago, I was at this little hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop in Seattle and they were playing Om, CONFERENCE OF THE BIRDS.
This is like something the demons from The Bad Place would drink.
Look, when the day comes, it's going to be very hard to get some people to get off the "norms/turn the page" bandwagon, but the least, and already established, thing we can do is prosecute the fuck out of everyone for perjury. All these people have lied under oath. Start there, at the lowest bar.

I'll find him for $3,000, but I'll catch him and kill him for $10,000.
oh god yes that too. If anything Iβd be like, βNot βHere Comes Your Manβ?"
I wish I could show the 17 year old in 1989 me this list. Heβd be baffled by Kate and Metallica (βthat semi-underground metal band that released an 8 minute single?β) but also by βLast Christmas.β (β*That* one?β)
Crazy that Kate got on here at effectively the last minute.
My grandpa also spent his entire career working for a California utility company! (Navy, tho.)

From a Justin Broadrick fan group on FB called AVALANCHERS, posted by Luke Lund on March 4, 2026: JKB / GODFLESH news β IMPORTANT Heard from Justin today, he's given the okay to share some life changing news. Official statement to come... JKB is recovering and regaining mobility from a serious abdominal surgery some three weeks ago. It addressed a significant hernia issue that had been developing and increasingly affecting live performance. Some may already have heard, or noticed the scaling down of live shows over the past months. The operation went ok, but this condition has resulted in chronic physical limitations that make intense physical activity and loud singing unsafe. GODFLESH will no longer perform live. Last year's "in dub" in London was the final GODFLESH performance. This aligns with thoughts that had already been forming about eventually closing out GODFLESH, but the recent surgery simply accelerated that... Mixing on the penultimate GODFLESH LP, "DECAY" is almost complete, aiming at early autumn release. Another, already written final LP will follow, which will be recorded toward the end of the year. Afterwards, GODFLESH will exist through releases of live/archival/dub/other rare material. The next jesu LP titled "Still Life" is currently in demo form, with recording and mixing slated for spring, and release expected late 2026. jesu performances will continue as they don't require the physicality, and JKB will be easing back into live activity in the coming months of recovery JKB is also excited to tell about developing a new solo project, exploring new forms of heavy, filthy electronics layered with guitars and voice. It will occasionally be presented live, and possibly with a drummer taking over rhythm.
